New Releases Hand-Picked by Shake The Foundations

Here are some standout new releases handpicked by Shake The Foundations - the record store tucked beneath our Lamb’s Conduit Street salon, run by former NME electronic music editor Graham Sherman.

Joe Gibbs & The Professionals
African Dub All-Mighty: Chapter 1

A heavyweight dub record from the mid-’70s, produced by Joe Gibbs and mixed by the legendary Errol Thompson.
Behind it was actually a revolving lineup from Soul Syndicate, We the People, and The Revolutionaries, laying down deep, hypnotic grooves that defined an era.
Highlights include 'Campus Rock' (a dubbed-out take on Dennis Brown’s Let Me Live) and 'Treasure Dub', reworking the Jamaicans’ rocksteady classic Ba Ba Boom.
This is essential listening that's rootsy, raw, and timeless.

Deeply Armed
The Heeling (Richard Fearless Remix)

After their debut 'The Healing', which was like Neu! meeting the Velvet Underground on a Balearic dance floor and which came complete with a fine Keith Tenniswood electro mix, Deeply Armed are back with a strictly limited, single-sided 12" holding a 10-minute Richard Fearless remix that transforms the track into a shimmering ambient-space-techno dreamstate.

The first 100 copies have been signed by Richard himself and we have 5 available for personal purchase here at Shake The Foundations, but if you can't get to our basement store at Huckle, Lambs Conduit Street, then click your way over to their website and order from them direct.

Hardway Bros
En Outre-Mer EP

Sean Johnston dropped into Huckle a few weeks back, just before jetting off to Marie-Galante for some rare but well-earned time away. For those who don’t know, Sean is one half of the legendary A Love From Outer Space alongside the one and only Andrew Weatherall – a partnership that’s been educating dance floors for years with their deep, cosmic selections.

We got chatting, as we always do when he’s in the chair, about music and what’s making the world go around; the kind of talk that reminds me why we do what we do. Sean mentioned he was going to spend some time on a few tracks whilst he was away and promised to share them on his return. Well, true to his word, here we have it: four exceptional tracks courtesy of Hardway Bros, freshly released and ready for your veritable delectation.

This is the kind of music that deserves your full attention. Headphones on, distractions off. Thank you, Brother.”

Leo Zero
Horizontals - Fathom

This one comes from our friend and long-time Huckle regular Leo Zero - DJ, producer, and all-round sonic craftsman.

His new project taps into the Balearic sound he first fell for at Café del Mar back in ’89. Thirty years on, he’s come full circle; blending folk guitars, ambient haze, and stripped-back house grooves built for sunset bars. It’s music for slowing down and getting lost in.

Leo’s also created something especially for us: Huckle Dub. Deep, spacey, dub-laced electronics with live bass, percussion, and djembe. Warm, reflective, and exactly the kind of textured atmosphere we’ve been playing in the shop this month.
