Hardway Bros
En Outre-Mer EP
Sean Johnston dropped into Huckle a few weeks back, just before jetting off to Guadeloupe for some rare but well-earned time away. For those who don’t know, Sean was one half of the legendary A Love From Outer Space alongside the one and only Andrew Weatherall – a partnership that’s been educating dance floors for years with their deep, cosmic selections.
We got chatting as we always do when he’s in the chair - about music and what’s making the world go around, the kind of talk that reminds me of why we do what we do. Sean mentioned he was going to spend some time on a a few tracks whilst he was away and promised to share them on his return. Well, true to his word, here we have it, four exceptional tracks courtesy of Hardway Bros on new release, fresh and ready for your veritable delectation.
This is the kind of music that deserves your full attention - headphones on, distractions off. Thank you Brother.
Deeply Armed
The Heeling (Richard Fearless Remix)
After their debut 'The Healing', which was like Neu! meeting the Velvet Underground on a Balearic dance floor and which came complete with a fine Keith Tenniswood electro mix, Deppy Armed are back with a strictly limited, single-sided 12" holding a 10-minute Richard Fearless remix that transforms the track into a shimmering ambient-space-techno dreamstate.
The first 100 copies have been signed by Richard himslef and we have 5 avaialble for personal purchase here at Shake The Foundations, but if you can't get to our basement store at Huckle, Lambs Conduit Street, then click your way over to their website and order from them direct.
Leo Zero
Horizontals - Fathom
This one comes from our friend and long-time Huckle regular Leo Zero - DJ, producer, and all-round sonic craftsman.
His new project taps into the Balearic sound he first fell for at Café del Mar back in ’89. Thirty years on, he’s gone full circle, blending folk guitars, ambient haze, and stripped-back house grooves built for sunset bars. It’s music for slowing down and getting lost in.
